Destroying the Amazon

Watching a show called Bamazon on the History Channel. They are mining for Gold in the Amazon. It breaks my heart to see all the damage to the Amazon Forrest. I can only imagine the damage to the ecological system…

riceandraw: Composting isn’t pretty! I got my family to start composting. I always have tons of pulp left over from my juicing and my dad has been gardening so he wants good nutritious soil to use. When I lifted the lid of the composting bin today tons of bugs flew out and there was so much fuzzy mold!! Eek! My dad says he mixes it up with some dirt every week to help it compost. I feel much better putting all if this plant matter back to the earth directly than to just put it in the trash.
